Basically this is just a girl with a sword routine, but there’s a lot more that I like about this set.

Graphically-speaking, this set has a unique look.  The combination of the red light on Eclipse and the stark white background work really well together.  I always lean towards latex or leather outfits, but I really liked the way Eclipse pulled this look off.  I think she looks like someone from the Matrix or one of the club patrons in a Blade movie.  And that sword makes the most interesting light patterns on her body.  That was unexpected… but sometimes the unexpected things are the best.

One photo from this set has made the trip to the Netherlands for my “Siberia” show, plus the show in Oklahoma City at “Tribal Fire” and this year’s “Fetish Valentine 2″ show in Allentown Pennsylvania.

Toxic Goddess Models and Photographer in Hong Kong Group Exhibition

June 26th, 2010 | By Dirk Hooper

HONG KONG, CHINA, June 22, 2010 – Award-winning fantasy photographer Dirk Hooper will have ten photos on display June 27th

during the “Accumulate” international art exhibition in Hong Kong, China.  Hooper’s work will join dozens of other international artists at the grand opening of “That Gallery”.  The organizers of the art show describe “Accumulate” as an opportunity to bring together artists from around the word and to exhibit the combined imagination of these artists by showcasing multiple works in a confined space.

Hooper is excited to have work in Hong Kong.  “I’ve wanted to get a foothold in Asia for a while now and it’s hard to beat an exhibition in Hong Kong.  My dream is to get a show in Tokyo, but I’m thrilled with this first step,” Hooper said.  Known primarily for fetish photography, “Accumulate” presents a softer side of Hooper’s work.  “This is not an erotic art show, so I focused more on fantasy and glamour style portraits.  The style is the same, but this work is not as provocative as most of my shows lately,” Hooper explained.

Danger Darling and Scott Van Eck both do work as makeup artists in the ten photos Hooper has in the “Accumulate” exhibition.  The models represented in Hooper’s photos are:

  • Toxic Goddess Aello
  • Toxic Goddess Dame Lebeau
  • Toxic Goddess Eclipse
  • Toxic Goddess Loki
  • Toxic Goddess Oshun
  • Toxic Goddess Rockelle
  • Toxic Goddess Selkie
  • Jade
  • Mistress Kitty
  • Princess Zoe

“Accumulate” will open on Sunday, June 27th at 3:00 p. m. in Hong Kong, China.  “That Gallery” is located at Unit F Superluck Inds Centre, 45-53 Sha Tsui Rd.  Refreshments will be provided.

Toxic Goddess Well Represented at “Biting the Apple”

March 25th, 2010 | By Dirk Hooper

This year, the IAO’s Biting the Apple Erotic Art Show will feature the models and photographers of Toxic Goddess in high fashion.  Toxic Goddess photographers Robert Henry and Dirk Hooper will both have pieces in the show and the Toxic Goddesses who will be on the wall (if not in the gallery itself) are Toxic Goddess Eclipse, Toxic Goddess Oshun, Toxic Goddess Dame Lebeau (in two pieces), Toxic Goddess Cravyn, Toxic Goddess Selkie and Toxic Goddess Loki!  Toxic Goddess makeup artist Danger Darling and Toxic Goddess airbrush artist Scott Van Eck has work in the show as well.

Information on the show is below.  Come out and hang with Toxic Goddess!

IAO’s 19th Annual Biting the Apple Erotic Art Show

Individual Artists of Oklahoma will present their 19th annual erotic art show and fetish ball entitled “Cirque Fantastique” on Friday, March 26, and Saturday, March 27, from 7pm to midnight, at IAO Gallery, 706 W. Sheridan in the Film Exchange District of Oklahoma City.

Over the course of the two nights, this year’s Biting the Apple, “Cirque Fantastique,” will quite literally be a circus of fantasies that aims to explore how our fantasies are reflected in popular culture through movies, literature, and even modern myth. By providing an approachable and safe atmosphere, IAO hopes guests will come together in celebration of our fantasies to gain insights into eroticism through a wide array of individual artwork.

Friday, March 26 is the event’s Opening Party. Oklahoma artists will exhibit their erotic art in a combined invited artist and juried art show. The evening will also include erotic poetry readings, a fashion show, film and video screenings and performance art; as well as juror’s and people’s choice awards given for art submissions and IAO’s first ever YouTube video competition.

Saturday, March 27 will be a celebration like no other with the event’s popular Fetish Ball. Attendees are invited to dress as personal taste, fashion, and personal fantasy dictate. Look for artist-made costumes and décor to fit the “Cirque Fantastique” theme.

Join our circus of fantasies with street performers, an erotic dance-off and live peep shows. Both nights will include a cash bar and complimentary food donated by a few of Oklahoma City’s most excellent restaurants.

Tickets are $15 for each night or $25 for both nights.

This shoot came about for an art show at Shilo Brown’s Book Beat, for a new CD release party. The CD was from Bloody Ol’ Mule and was called “Love and Horror in the Backwoods”.

I did two sets of photos, one for “love” and this one for “horror” in the backwoods. The concept was a beauty queen being chased by zombies! Hillbilly Zombies… that is.

As you can see from Robert’s set titled “Concrete Jungle” Scott Van Eck has a singular mastery with airbrush makeup, and we put that talent to work on seven zombies! He works quickly, and did a fantastic job on all of our zombie volunteers.

This is one of those shoots that is excruciatingly irritating while you’re there, but very much worth the effort (at least I think so). It was a very hot and humid summer day and we were out in the mid-day sun, in an overgrown field. While I was uncomfortable, just imagine how those zombies felt, after getting the airbrush makeup, then pouring fake blood all over themselves AND rolling in the dirt!

I just shot the scene pretty much the same way you might shoot a movie, and honestly, just look at the performances of all the participants, they were acting during the entire shoot too. Everyone did a stellar job.

I’ll never forget the very serious discussion we had about the way zombies move and the dedication everyone had to pull this off. Poor Toxic Goddess Aello was doing real screams and silent screams for an hour!

I loved doing it though and I’m happy to share the extended shoot with all the Toxic Goddess fans.

Is there anything quite like youth? My initial inspiration for this shoot was Richard Kern’s book “Soft.” I first viewed it while I was attending classes at SCAD. I love the book because it was sucha departure from most of his work that I was familiar with.

The girls featured were soft, and intimate in a way that was simply beautiful. While “End of Summer” is really nowhere (stylistically speaking) near the pictures in that book I think there is a fascination with youthful beauty that is concurrent.

Eclipse made this shoot work on so many levels; from the playful nature to the sexy, to the youth. It’s one of my favorite sets that I have shot recently.

This was a shoot that was basically set-up to get one photo for an art show, and we continued to shoot so that we’d have more to offer the fans here on Toxic Goddess.

I had this idea to create a human table some time ago and, as usual, the logistics of making this shoot happen kept me from actually doing it for a long time. It’s not easy to get this many Goddesses in one place! The “Dominatrix” and the individuals who created the table, changed many times before we made this happen.

Special thanks go to Eclipse and Selkie, not only for enduring what was a physically uncomfortable position, but doing so and actually performing in a somewhat glamour-free shoot (after all Dame Lebeau is the one who gets to shine here). They put up with a lot of discomfort for this shoot, so when you talk to them tell them how cool they are!

Dame Lebeau had this awesome military hat and a fantastic wig that we used to transform her into the uber-domme for this shoot. She also played the regal dominatrix exceptionally well. Her contribution helped me pull off this idea even better than I envisioned.

Thanks also to Robert for helping me set up the table and lighting. This was a team effort all around.

You wouldn’t believe how spectacular that flower looked after sitting in our studio window for several months!

This is something a little different for me and therefore pretty fun. Most guys are really into bikes and cars but as I grew up I was more into sci-fi, drawing and comic books. If I looked at a car or bike magazine it was for teh hot babe on the cover. So I never really shot stuff like this when I started shooting photography.

I’ve mentioned before about how Eclipse likes to try a variety of different shoots. She knew someone who had a bike and he volunteered it for the shoot and we shot it. For the most part it’s a fairly simple shoot but a hot girl (naked) on a bike can garner a lot of attention. So enjoy!
