This was a fun shoot to do. I have always wanted to do a shoot like this but never had. The idea to do it came about rather randomly but I think that it came out very well. Probably my favorite aspect is catching the milk frozen in time across her body.

Dark Mistress looks fabulous and delivered in an amazing fashion. Considering it was such a spur of the moment idea, I have to certainly say that she went above and beyond the call of modeling for this. It was cold milk and she was pretty sticky afterwards. However, she’s done messy shoots before (Axe photos last year) and has never complained.

As a brief aside: as I was working the photos I was listening to a random mix of music and Goldfrapp’s “Ohh La La La” and it was a very effective soundtrack.

This is a blast from the past and a bit of a lost treasure. “n” had travelled here to experience fetish modeling firsthand… and then she met Dark Mistress! You wouldn’t know it by these photos but this shoot had a rather large audience and that didn’t seem to affect the very real scene that unfolded between Dark Mistress and “n”!

This was one of my first digital shoots and one of the first shoots with quality studio lights (thanks to Rob). It’s a very short set, and I probably shoot about ten times as much now. Let’s just say that if I had a larger memory card there’s no telling where this shoot would have gone!

And now we welcome back Dark Mistress.

While she never really truly left (she’s been to appearances, has always been around to help out when she could and let’s not forget her “Axe” shoot), it’s great to welcome back one of our original Goddesses.

I’ve been shooting with her a fair amount over the last couple of months and we have all sorts of things in store for you guys. There’s a wide variety of shoots coming in as Dark Mistress stretches her wings, so to speak.

This set was inspired by an outfit that she had brought along one afternoon. The outfit lends itself to a cold environment and I can hear Sting’s song “Russians” playing softly in my head when I look at these pictures. The music, which was borrowed from Sergei Prokofiev, is beautiful and haunting with a dash of melancholy.

That’s kind of how I see these pictures.

Here’s the second half of the axe shoot with Dark Mistress. The first half was worked specifically for an art show that Robert Henry was featured in, this second half was worked specially for the Toxic Goddess site.

This part was taken while we were taking a break during the shoot. The sunlight was beautiful and I liked the strangeness of a something disturbing in the midst of something beautiful. Of course Dark Mistress obliged to play in character (or maybe that really is her?) and we got some really nice shots.

It’s an honor to welcome back for a surprise guest appearance Dark Mistress. Dark Mistress along with Aries belong as the original Toxic Goddesses. Even though she’s moved on to a new phase of her life we stay in touch.

So when a horror art show was coming up I started thinking about who did I know that had a really cool axe. Dark Mistress had a cool one and then I wondered for about two seconds who would be good for the shoot before realizing she would be perfect. So I called her and she jumped at the opportunity.

She delivered on so many levels: from the axe, to the nightgown and she even mixed the blood. I also am certain that she is ecstatic about being a bonus update on Halloween. So enjoy this bonus update and look for next week’s update where we honor Halloween again with Toxic Goddess Aries.

This shoot began when I was scouting locations for a completely different set. I found a very scenic, but somewhat secluded area by a local lake that I thought would make a great backdrop for an “island girl”. My idea took flight when Dark Mistress, in typical fashion, went to the next level by creating, by hand, a complete outfit and the props for these photos!

We got up very early one morning and took a dark drive to this area and started taking photos. I was immediately impressed with the quality of morning light and how Dark Mistress really captured the spirit of someone who was free and in tune with the natural world.

We took a lot of photos and trekked up and down the beach until a stream of overly interested morning fishermen started getting too close for comfort. When a family came to set up shop nearby we knew we were through, but we really got a great set of photos in the process!

I like indoor shoots a lot because I can control everything from the light to the air conditioning, but it’s hard to beat such a great backdrop, such beautiful light from the morning sun and the expansive world we had to play in.

Dark Mistress really shines in this set.

Dark Mistress really came up with this set. She got the costume and the props and brought a great attitude. We had discussed doing a “dark queen” type shoot and she really made it happen. It was a fun shoot and kind of neat to play with the concept and some new toys.

One of those toys was a smoke machine which sometimes worked awesome and other times not so well. Still kinda neat to work with it though.

This set with Dark Mistress was actually the first set shot in the green chair.  This is just basically an exploration of the space using different models and seeing how they react to the same location.  I’ve shot several in the “Green Chair Series” but this is the only set on the Toxic Goddess site.

Dark Mistress, who is a spitfire, was unusually reserved for this shoot and just enjoyed something much closer to a glamour set than we usually do. I think she looks like a beautiful femme fatale out of a noir film in this set.
